«You are what you eat»

But how healthy is our nutrition?

TESTS ON HEALTH AND PREVENTION – A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE

It is striking how more and more people around us, including children and adolescents, are becoming seriously ill – novel medical tests show us what our food has to do with our diseases.
Our cells form the basis of our body and copy each other every day – in order to «have healthy cells tomorrow», you have to «keep them healthy today».

Dr. Paul Clayton – clinical pharmacologist and scientist – writes in the foreword to his book «Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition» about the pharmacological effects of our food on our health and about a new medical model that uses simple nutritional methods to reduce disease and TO SUPPORT THE BODY’S ABILITY TO «HEAL ITSELF».

HOW CAN WE KNOW HOW WE FEEL TOMORROW

The fact that chronic «civilization» diseases have increased so enormously in the last 50 years in all age groups – including more and more children and adolescents – suggests that the generations before us had a lower risk of developing them than we do today …

… and we are getting older and older – but we spend the last ten years of our lives increasingly as «chronically ill» people (from the age of 65, more than half of us have (at least) one chronic illness).

Medicine has made great progress in combating symptoms, but unfortunately does not focus so much on «fighting the causes», although almost all symptoms have a common cause – chronic silent inflammation.

Lifestyle, nutrition and civilization diseases

Do we eat orselves sick?

Over 95% of all people consume an excess of inflammation-promoting substances through their food, which is one of the reasons for the sharp increase in chronic diseases since the middle of the 20th century.

Today’s “civilized” foods are increasingly pre-packaged in an unhealthy way and they also have a much lower proportion of nutrients than they were available to our grandparents, for example – unfortunately, this also applies to today’s “organic”, which only contains fewer toxins.

To be able to optimally cover our daily requirements of all essential nutrients and operating materials today, we would therefore have to eat “selected” foods with a nutritional value of over 3500 kcal (this compared to our effective consumption of approx. 2000 kcal) – and we also consume too many calories in the form of unhealthy fats, carbohydrates, sugar and alcohol.

Our modern type B malnutrition

I’VE JUST BEEN TO THE DOCTOR – EVERYTHING IS OK AND I FEEL IN TOP SHAPE

But we often only feel symptoms when it is too late – because the origin of our civilization diseases usually lies far back in the malfunction of a body cell and the beginning of a silent inflammation – such can be carried for years without realizing it before they can then become noticeable chronic diseases.

And today’s medicine is primarily focused on combating the symptoms of diseases and not so much on their origin and on preventing people from getting sick in the first place.

That’s why we should take our health into our own hands with test-based prevention.

Doctors have a different focus

Testing instead of Guessing – Certainity through medical tests

The BALANCE TEST

Indicator of potential inflammation
Measures the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3
Worldwide, 97% are deficient in omega-3

Essential fatty acids in the blood provide conclusions about cell health, brain performance, immune system and protection against lifestyle diseases

Why the Balance Test

The HbA1c TEST

Indicator of potential diabetes
Measures long-term blood sugar levels
One in eleven adults is diabetic

Provides information about intestinal health and the immune system as well as the potential for diabetes based on lifestyle, diet and fitness

Why the HbA1c test

The Vitamin D Test

Indicator of the immune system
Measures the vitamin D level in the blood
In Central Europe, 89% have vitamin D deficiency

Vitamin D is an immune booster that counteracts the development of osteoporosis and promotes the formation of natural killer cells (destroyers of tumour cells)

Why the Vitamin D Test

Dr. Paul Clayton, as the world’s leading scientist, has been thinking about food, nutrition and health for over 40 years so that WE don’t have to – unless we want to do it ourselves…. The new medical model he describes uses original nutritional methods to help reduce disease and support the body’s ability to heal itself.

Three simple steps

  1. OPTIMAL CELL FUNCTIONS and LESS INFLAMMATION due to omega-3 fish oil-polyphenol combination
  2. OPTIMAL NUTRIENT ABSORPTION and STRENGTHENED IMMUNE SYSTEM by strengthening the microbiome with beta-glucans (from yeast and fungi) and prebiotic fibres
  3. SUPPLEMENTING OUR CIVILIZED DIET (to avoid type B malnutrition) with additional micro- and phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals

There are certainly many other approaches and perspectives regarding nutrition and supplements, but what is special about this unique model by Dr. Paul Clayton is that it:

  • starts at the very base of CELL HEALTH
  • is HOLISTIC and optimizes both food supply, absorption and processing
  • is based on simple ORIGINAL nutritional methods
  • and above all is SCIENTIFICALLY sound and MEASURABLE

Only if we supply our cells optimally can we keep them healthy – so that our whole body stays healthy and gets sick less.

Therefore, testing instead of guessing

«From the age of 20, many classic signs of aging can already become noticeable on the human body» (Max Planck Institute for Biological Aging).

Silent inflammations
Silent inflammations are asymptomatic or are not associated with symptoms. They remain undetected for a long time but are the main cause of our civilization diseases. This is indicated by more and more studies (cf. PubMed – medical database). The list of diseases caused by silent inflammation is long …

Quotes from «Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition» by Doctor Paul Clayton **:
P 17f** Many doctors have not yet understood that almost all the symptoms they treat have a common cause, a core – chronic inflammation – and lead to the following: the chronic inflammation in a joint, for example, slowly produces a constant destruction of the articular cartilage, which may emerge as arthritis (arthritis is a medical term, which simply means inflammation in the joint). If it takes place in the bone, it will lead to osteoporosis after some time. On the heart and in the arteries, it leads to deposits and high blood pressure, in veins to varicose veins and haemorrhoids. In the bronchi it promotes asthma, in the liver it may cause hepatitis and in the brain, it appears as a neurodegenerative disease such as dementia or Parkinson's disease and contributes to depression.

In other words, chronic subliminal inflammation is key to almost all non-communicable diseases. The fact that it insidiously and gradually destroys tissues is considered the main cause of almost all age-related diseases, and that is why chronic inflammation is also associated with faster aging or inflammatory aging.

Faster aging
The development of a degenerative disease has long been seen as a specific part of the aging process, but now we can see that superficial symptoms such as thinning of cartilage and bones, calcification of the arteries and wrinkles of the skin have little to do with aging per se.

This is all mainly caused by the chronic inflammation that is promoted by our lifestyle and diet. Consequently, many of these signs of aging disappear and reverse when the chronic inflammation is stopped, and the tissues begin to heal. If we do this, we will move from the fast lane to the crawl lane in terms of aging, where the signs of aging will be significantly shifted, and a healthy middle age can be maintained for many years.

P 26** With so many of us suffering from chronic, subclinical inflammation, it's no wonder that the steady increase in tissue damage is emerging as a major health problem for so many of us — and why these problems become more common as we age. This has little to do with aging itself, because if we were on a basic anti-inflammatory diet, many of the signs of aging would simply not appear or would not appear until much later.

The federal government (Swiss government) now warns against ultra-processed foods (NZZ 27.07.2024)
Frozen pizza and vegan schnitzel should be consumed sparingly - the reason for the recommendation: There is a connection between the consumption of ultra-processed foods and ailments such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes or the risk of certain types of cancer. This is the conclusion of a large overview study on this topic.

New Medical Model with Simple Nutritional Methods
Ouotes from "Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition" by Doctor Paul Clayton **:
P 10f** Current research has shown that most cases of these diseases (perhaps about 90%) are caused by lifestyle and dietary factors and are largely preventable.

This has led to a new, unifying theory of disease, where there are five basic elements that are widely accepted:

  1. civilization diseases are mainly influenced by lifestyle and dietary factors
  2. most of these diseases have chronic inflammation at the beginning
  3. three of the key anti-inflammatory components in our diet are
    • Omega-3 fatty acids (fatty fish),
    • Polyphenols (fruits, vegetables, nuts, spices),
    • Beta-1,3 -1,6-Glucan (yeast, fungi)
  4. The level of this anti-inflammatory diet has declined dramatically since the mid-20th century and has now reached a low point. The critical ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids in our diet has dropped by 90%, our intake of polyphenols has dropped by about the same amount, and the level of beta-1.3-1.6 glucans has completely collapsed...... At the same time, the quantities of pro-inflammatory components have increased in line with the changes in food processing. It is therefore hardly surprising that the diseases caused by inflammation are constantly increasing.
  5. When the anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols and beta-1,3-1,6-glucans are brought back into the diet and pro-inflammatory foods are avoided, the rate of these diseases drops up to 90% and we become almost immune to degenerative diseases and much more resistant to infections and allergies. When this happens, our chances of successful aging increase significantly.

Support the body's ability to HEAL ITSELF
When you want to improve your chances of living a long and healthy life, you should consider some simple changes. The government's recommendations include eating more fruit, vegetables and fatty fish, reducing the consumption of fried and grilled foods, salt and alcohol, and quitting smoking.

But all this will only be the beginning. If you want to make it better and permanent, you should take two anti-inflammatory basic supplements:

  • the first is a fish oil-polyphenol combination
  • the second a beta-glucan recipe

back

Quotes from "Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition" by Doctor Paul Clayton **:
P 89** Nutritionists and uniformed doctors still insist that you can get everything you need from a balanced diet, but while this was undoubtedly true in earlier times, it is no longer helpful or correct.

You can get everything they need from a carefully balanced diet, if you consume 3500 cal per day or more, and live on a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, cheeses, chicken liver, and fatty fish. But in today's age of processed foods, that's not what most people eat. In addition, very few consume 3500 cal per day, as this would be a quick way to overweight and obesity with today's low-energy lifestyle. In a sedentary population with low energy requirements, where 2000-2500 cal per day is considered normal, it is no longer possible to get everything for long-term health from a balanced diet. The balanced diet will usually prevent a blatant deficiency, but it will not prevent the depletion of micro- and phytonutrients and therefore cannot protect against chronic inflammation or degenerative diseases.

Malnutrition type B
Quotes from "Strengthen Your Immune System" by Doctor Paul Clayton *:
P 13* Health researchers are increasingly describing a disease that is referred to as "malnutrition or malnutrition type B". This is not the form of malnutrition that comes with starving people in the developing world. Instead, they are found in people in industrialized nations who have adequate calories (often more than adequate) but have an inadequate intake of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. This leads to metabolic disorders and chronic inflammation – interlocking problems that lead to progressive tissue damage and thus increase the risk of developing the symptoms of a chronic degenerative disease. The deficiency of type B nutrition also affects the immune system and increases the risk of infectious diseases.
In fact, this malnutrition is the leading cause of early (or preventable) death worldwide

P15* The amount of food we eat today has almost halved, and with less food there is a lower intake of micronutrients and phytonutrients. To make matters worse, the quality of the food we eat has declined sharply. We eat less fruits, vegetables, legumes (polyphenols), oily fish (anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids), yeast and fungi (beta-1,3-1,6-glucans), whole grains and fibres (e.g. prebiotic fibres) than our great-grandparents.

Successful Aging
Quotes from "Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition" by Doctor Paul Clayton **
P 10f** When the anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols and beta-1,3-1,6-glucans are brought back into the diet and pro-inflammatory foods are avoided, the rate of these diseases drops up to 90% and we become almost immune to degenerative diseases and much more resistant to infections and allergies.
When this happens, our chances of successful aging increase significantly.

We go to the doctor when we feel sick, and we should definitely leave the responsibility for the treatment of these diseases to the doctors – but we should take the responsibility for making sure that we get sick less and thus do not have to go to the doctor in the first place. Although nutrition is a main basis for our bodily functions, it is unfortunately not the main focus of today's medicine.

Quote from «Strengthen Your Immune System by Doctor Paul Clayton * P13*:
In addition, the recommended daily allowance (RDA) was not set to ensure optimal food intake, but only to prevent deficiency symptoms – the optimal levels of several micronutrients are higher than the recommended daily allowances (RDA's)

Medical tests based on such optimal values must be the future – so that we can take our health prevention into our own hands and monitor it with individually adapted dietary supplements

back

Essential fatty acids such as omega-6 and omega-3 are, as the name suggests, essential (vital) for the human body - this means that we cannot live without them, or that we can get sick if we have too little of them. Since our body cannot synthesize (produce) these fatty acids itself from other substances, we are dependent on the intake of essential fatty acids with food.

The polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are only found in fatty fish (tuna, mackerel, salmon, trout, sardine) and in its algae food, or in the respective oil, in high concentrations. The polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids are unfortunately found in abundance in most of our foods today, such as meat, eggs, butter, cheese, wheat products, nuts, vegetable oils and margarine – and in the form of sunflower oil and palm oil, they are also present in countless products such as pastries, crackers, fried potatoes, potato chips, etc.

The aim of this balance test is to measure the ratio between pro-inflammatory omega-6 and anti-inflammatory omega-3 processes in the body (target ratio of 3:1). Today's average of this ratio in Europe is 15:1, and when taking commercially available omega-3 it is 10:1. Worldwide, 97% of all people have an omega-3 deficiency and the trend is rising. For children and adolescents, the average values are even higher at 19:1 without omega-3.

In addition to this balance test, there is a 120-day regeneration cure to achieve the ratio of 3:1 recommended by today's medical standard – this with an individually dosed, highly effective omega-3 balance oil, a special formula of algae or fish oil that is additionally enriched with polyphenols (antioxidants) from the highest quality olive oil (if you are taking "blood thinners" (e.g. Marcumar®), consult your doctor first).

The higher the measured balance is above 3:1, the greater the probability of (often) unnoticed inflammation, impaired cell functions, a reduction in the efficiency of the immune system and mental impairments

After this «wellness cure for at home», the second test shows almost 100% of the target value of 3:1 and often noticeable improvements are also recorded – depending on previous deficits for example in the following areas: susceptibility to disease, concentration, memory, sleep quality, fatigue, depression, headaches, skin-, hair-, nail-quality, joint pain, sore muscles, asthma, dry eyes, blood pressure .... or simply in the form of improved fitness or increased vitality.

More about Omege-6 and Omega-3 and polyphenols

Originally, the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 in human DNA was 1:1.

However, the level of this anti-inflammatory diet has declined dramatically since the mid-20th century and has reached a low point today. The critical ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids in our diet has increased by 90%, our intake of polyphenols has decreased by about the same amount, and the level of beta-1.3-1.6 glucans has completely collapsed...... At the same time, the quantities of pro-inflammatory components have increased in line with the changes in food processing. It is therefore hardly surprising that the diseases caused by silent inflammation are constantly increasing.

Effect of omega-6 and omega-3 on cell membrane function
Too much omega-6 leads to impaired cell functions:
An oversupply of omega-6 leads to a hardening of the membranes in our body cells and thus to low cell membrane permeability. Nutrients enter the interior of the cells only SLOWLY and waste products can only escape SLOWLY. The result is an undersupply and a lack of detoxification of the body's cells or organs.

An even balance omega-6 to omega-3 promotes normal cell functions:
A balanced ratio with sufficient omega-3 inhibits the hardening of the membranes and thus ensures high cell membrane permeability. Nutrients are absorbed EASILY and waste products are expelled QUICKLY - for optimal supply and good detoxification.

Quotes from the book "Let Your Food Be Your Pharmaco-Nutrition" by Doctor Paul Clayton **:

Inflammation and the imbalance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids
P27f** Nutritionists refer to omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids as essential nutrients. The human body needs them for many functions, from building healthy cells to maintaining a healthy heart and brain. We can't produce these fatty acids, so we have to get them from the foods we eat. The Omeg-6 fatty acids produce compounds that are generally pro-inflammatory, while the breakdown of omega-3 fatty acids in the body produces substances that are largely anti-inflammatory.

For this reason, the balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in the diet is decisive for whether our internal body condition is pro- or anti-inflammatory. The records show that for most of written history, we consumed omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in nearly equal amounts. From 1900 onwards, omega-6 fatty acids increased more and more, while omega-3 fatty acids decreased. The rate of omega-6 to omega-3 has risen from 1:1 to 15:1 in Europe, and in the USA it averages 25:1.
……. The most important omega-3 fatty acids for us are EPA and DHA, which are found almost exclusively in fatty fish and in its food, the seaweed.
Omega-6 is mainly derived from vegetable oils and nuts and seeds, which are found in so many processed foods. By excessively increasing the 6:3 ratio in our diets, the manufacturers of such foods have done serious damage to public health.
To make matters worse, the majority of animals raised for human consumption are fed soy and corn feed. Therefore, most cows, pigs and battery chickens are filled with omega-6; Milk, meat and eggs then have an unhealthy ratio of 6:3

Polyphenols - no longer enough in fruit and vegetables
P28** Fruit and vegetables are important because they contain polyphenols among many other substances. These have a strong anti-inflammatory effect in the body and also a strong antioxidant effect. The Victorians, for example (a working class in 19th century England) ate an average of 9-10 servings of fruit and vegetables per day. They had a great appetite due to their high physical activity. The fruits and vegetables they ate were organic, and they were genetic varieties that contained up to three times as much polyphenols as the many sweet fruits and vegetables we eat today. We consume an average of three servings of fruit and vegetables per day. The math is simple. We have reduced the consumption of these foods by about two-thirds and the polyphenol content in what we eat has also decreased by about two-thirds. This shows that our intake of polyphenols has decreased by about 90%.

More and more people around the world are suffering from diabetes. In the past, Type-2-Diabetes was considered "Adult-onset Diabetes". This is now outdated, because in recent years more and more young adults, even adolescents, have fallen ill with it.

Type-2-Diabetes begins gradually. Often you don't notice for years that the sugar levels in the blood are elevated, i.e. the blood sugar level remains high for a long time. In the long term, diabetes can lead to diseases of the heart, kidneys, eyes or feet. According to the World Health Organization, the reason is often to be found in poor nutrition and lack of exercise.

The aim of this scientific long-term blood glucose test is to assess the health of the immune system and intestines and how your current diet and your activity and fitness affect the possible development of diabetes. Due to the unbalanced diet (low in fibre, high in fat and sugar), one in eleven adults is diabetic today - and perhaps without knowing it for a long time.

It measures your long-term blood sugar level and relates it to your current lifestyle, which is illuminated with the help of a detailed questionnaire – a general assessment of your state of health to improve your self-perception.

In addition to this test, there is a fibre regeneration cure with beta-glucans from fungi and yeasts and with prebiotic fibres to strengthen the intestinal microbiome and the immune system as well as to regulate blood sugar levels and cholesterol levels.

More about gut health, immun system and lifestyle diseases

The immune system is vital – it is a sophisticated defence system that is responsible for recognizing and fighting pathogens, pollutants and altered cells, such as CANCER CELLS. As long as it works smoothly, it is hardly noticeable.

Quotes from "Strengthen Your Immune System" by Doctor Paul Clayton*

P 11* Why our immune systems are less effective than they used to be
In a time before fungicides were routinely sprayed on every crop, almost everything we ate was contaminated with yeast and mould fungus. This, paradoxically, was one of the main factors that kept our innate immune system at peak performance.

Natural immune boosters
P23* Beta-1,3-1,6-glucans
Beta-1,3-1,6-glucans are complex molecules found in the cell walls of fungi and yeasts. The innate immune system developed the ability to recognize and respond to them long ago by triggering an immune response. But it went even further. Since yeast is so universal, the optimal function of the innate immune system now depends directly on it. Then, very late in evolution, modern technology effectively sterilized our food chain and much of our environment. The levels of yeast and fungi in our food and immediate environment decreased, and the lack of beta-1,3-1,6-glucans made the innate immune system weaker and more unbalanced. If we add beta-1,3-1,6-glucans to our diet, the innate immune system is well equipped and its normal function and effectiveness are restored.

P29f* Prebiotics, probiotics and the microbiome
Prebiotic fibre is a type of fibre and an essential part of our diet. They are just as important for our health as vitamins. They are food for our microbiome, the huge, complex and changing colony of microorganisms that live inside us, mainly in the colon. The more prebiotic fibre they eat, the more these health-promoting probiotic bacteria thrive in us and as they grow, they crowd out and kill other species of potentially harmful bacteria. According to the World Health Organization, doubling our fibre intake reduces the risk of death from all sorts of causes by around 30%. Unfortunately, although traditional diets contain large amounts of these fibres, they have been largely removed from today's processed, industrial diet. Since the intestinal contents are constantly moving, you need prebiotic fibres with different molecular structures – fast, moderately fast, and slow-acting fibres. With this kind of mixture, the microbiome in the entire colon can be renewed.

A healthier microbiome protects against heart disease, cancer and diabetes and reduces the risk of infection.

Quotes from „Strengthen Your Immune System" by Doctor Paul Clayton *

Natural immune booster:
P 38* Vitamin D In the temperate zones of Europe and the USA, the vitamin D level is reduced in most people almost all year round. This is not bad enough to cause rickets, but it has been identified as a factor that contributes to the common problems of osteoporosis and osteopeniat.

More recently, vitamin D deficiency has also been shown to reduce the effectiveness of the innate immune system. If they are low in vitamin D, fewer natural killer cells (NK cells) are formed and their innate immune defences against viruses are impaired.

Since one function of NK cells is to kill tumour cells, vitamin D deficiency is also likely to increase the risk of cancer.

But be careful - too much vitamin D can also be harmful - so test regularly.

If you have any questions, we look forward to hearing from you.

We are also happy to provide you with access to the tests and to the dietary supplements mentioned.

The tests are medical, easy-to-perform dry blood tests whose analyses are carried out by a renowned, certified European laboratory.

The regeneration cures are based on purely natural dietary supplements, which are dosed individually and should be taken continuously over a minimum period of time.

After that, another test is done to document the change - for the balance test after 120 days, for the blood sugar test after 90 days and for the vitamin D test every 6 months.

CF about the balance test:
I have been taking commercially available omega-3 supplements for a long time. Only recently I had read about the important optimal 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 and learned about this test option - but I was very disappointed when my test showed a ratio of 6.4:1 despite taking omega-3. That's why I decided to do this 120-day regeneration cure with the fish-oil-polyphenol balance oil and my control test afterwards showed the amazing value of 2.7:1. But not only did I have my improvement in black and white, I could also feel improvements wherever deficits were noticeable before - for example in joint problems, sleep quality and memory, I also no longer have headaches and did not even get sick during the whole time. I continued the cure and the improvements even intensified in the following months. (July 1, 2024)

FM on the balance test:
I was very surprised by the fact that we are "in a way malnourished". I was always of the opinion that it was enough to eat a healthy and varied diet and I haven't really bothered with dietary supplements until now. But then I became aware of the connection between the development of inflammation, lifestyle diseases and our diet, and that there is a unique test option for this. My first test was sobering, but my second test after the 120 days with balance oil was great with 2.7:1. I have also noticed noticeable improvements in asthma, hay fever and dry eyes, I have become less ill and fortunately my blood pressure has also improved. (March 20, 2024)

BW about the Balance Test:
I like to cook in a variety of ways and pay attention to freshness, regionality and organic, but I eat almost no fish. That's why my first test result of 20:1 didn't surprise me so much. Without any major change to my diet, the second test after the 120-day regeneration cure with the Omega-3 Balance Oil showed a phenomenal result of 2.4:1! For me, supplementing with the highly effective omega-3 oil is therefore very valuable, especially because I hardly eat fish. (June 3, 2024)

FL about the HbAC1 long-term blood sugar test:
I had never dealt with diabetes because there are no family backgrounds in my family, but the fact that nowadays every eleventh person suffers from it has shocked me. The questionnaire already made me aware of a lot in terms of my lifestyle and my diet and the test result then confirmed some things to me in black and white and made me rethink something. I've been doing this "wellness cure" with the beta-glucan formula and the prebiotic fibres for my microbiome for half a year now. Apart from the fact that I have become much less susceptible to illness, I have also noticed that by regulating blood sugar levels and digestion, there are much fewer cravings and "snacking in between", which is also very helpful if you want to regulate your weight.

FL about Autophagy or intermittent fasting:
In this context, I also came across the very interesting phenomenon of "autophagy" – a "recycling program" inherent to the body that allows it to break down damaged cells (viruses and bacteria and other pathogens) and then recycle them. Thus, the immune system is strengthened and healthy aging is supported by the rejuvenation and longevity of the cells. This process of autophagy is activated by intermittent fasting after a meal break of twelve to 16 hours and can be further supported by other influences such as sport and appropriate nutrition. (20 May 2024)
Here is a FOCUS article on it: "Autophagy und Longevity: Der Schlüssel für ein langes GESUNDES Leben?»

DB about the vitamin D test:
I had already tested vitamin D several times without any abnormalities as part of a complete blood count. Only now, however, did I become aware of the importance of vitamin D – and above all the need for regular testing, as the dosage must not be too low or too high and is also very dependent on seasonal conditions. Since vitamin D is no longer routinely tested, this simple vitamin D test that I can do at home is a very welcome option. (May 2, 2024)

DF about this new medical model with simple nutritional methods:
I asked myself "why omega-3 in particular" and whether this is not all a bit exaggerated with this "general malnutrition" ..... and in general whether it affects me since I eat quite consciously and largely avoid this convenience food – and until now I hadn't taken anything extra and I'm fine. On the other hand, in my circle of acquaintances, more and more people of all ages are getting sick in one way or another, more or less badly.

I then did some research on Dr. Google myself and indeed all this was highly up-to-date and scientifically backed up from many sides. What convinces me most about these nutritional methods are, on the one hand the testing possibilities, and on the other hand the fact that, through this mobilization of the immune system, the reduction of inflammatory foci and the optimization of cell functions, a possibility can be created that can at least delay, if not even prevent, the emergence of all these chronic civilization diseases.

For me, this has opened up a whole new health awareness and I think it is currently one of the few opportunities to take some responsibility for one's own health due to tests - so that we get sick less and have to go to the doctor less often. (July 24, 2024)
